I mostly agree with you but I have a couple of nitpicks!
That wasn't Ilyena. That was Latra Posae Decume, the woman who canonically refused to let any of the female Aes Sedai help him.
Amalisa does exist in the books, she's the woman Liandrin uses and abuses to try to get to Rand! She just wasn't a channeller.
