Ah, you followed the Stevens Creek Trail where it hooks around to the left at the marshes. That's where we crossed the bridge to the other side of the creek and continued further out on the levees.

Various times I've thought about getting a bike to make quicker work of easier trails such as these. We'd be able to see 3-4x as much in the same amount of time on a set of wheels as we do walking.
