There are two nearby donut shops I'm a fan of. Today we went to Donut Wheel, on De Anza in Cupertino. It's one block south of Apple's Infinite Loop complex. Their donuts are superior, though pricey. Recently they've added very artsy donuts. For example, I tried a red velvet donut with a huge dollop of cream cheese frosting today.

I'm also a fan of Daily Donuts on Fair Oaks Ave near 101 in Sunnyvale. There are a few Daily Donuts shops around the area, but this one's the best I've tried. Plus, their quality is consistently good. I love me a chocolate old fashioned there. Hawk likes them okay; they do a good but not fantastic job on the varieties she likes.
