Honestly it's not as special as it used to be. It used to really look like a California agricultural area version of South of the Border, with lots of buildings and signs everywhere. Everything was named "Casa de ____". Like, there was the original Casa de Fruta selling veg, then Casa de Gas, Casa de Snooze a little motel, even Casa de Choo Choo with a train ride for the kids, and a few others, too. Now some of that stuff has been torn down (no more Casa de Choo Choo!! 😰) and all the kitschy signs are gone.
