As a public school teacher we _really_ don't have holiday parties --the closest I've gotten was last year when the math department glommed onto the science department's "let's go bowling and do a yankee swap", which was very strictly "pay your own way". But my roommate works in IT, and their big-name company is having a party this year at the Museum of Science, which I am incredibly excited to go to.
