Our planning initially got stuck in the rut of "Everyone must be able to eat everything". When multiple people have different restrictions that can be too constraining. Where we landed, at my urging, was "Everyone can eat most of the food," with efforts made to avoid or substitute away from ingredients like eggs on can't-eat lists (see my sizzling brownies mishap) to make them more inclusive and clear delineation of the few dishes that included meat or dairy.
