That seems like a wise idea. I don't think I've ever seen in-room laundry in a US hotel, though. Even the long-term stay type places don't seem to offer it. That said, I've found it only a little bother to make a few trips down to a coin-op laundry room in a hotel when I have a few quiet hours in the hotel in the evening.
