Curiously the wifi registration system I was using when I made this screenshot did a lot of filtering on what it deemed a "valid" email address. It not only had pattern matching rules on the domain name (which would almost certainly reject me.not as invalid) but on the username as well. It rejected my first attempt as 'hugeass@google.com' with "Please enter a valid email address."
