The thing about warnings of death or serious harm is that they're often overdone. When I see such signs I have to remind myself: 1) Is this written for clueless people or as a warning even to skilled people with the right equipment? Most are for clueless people. 2) How much better prepared am I than said clueless people?

Still, when it's the edge of a cliff, no I'm not going to stand balancing on the very lip to get a selfie.
