New Bloggiest Month, August 2022?
August 2022 has been a busy blogging month for me. I've posted a whopping 81 blog entries this month, including this one. That just eclipses my record-setting tally of 80 in September 2020... or does it?
81 is clearly more than 80, so on that basis I've set a new high water mark. But on a daily average basis August 2022 comes up a hair short. August has 31 days to September's 30, so the daily average is only 81/31 = 2.61 versus 80/30 = 2.67. Both of these figures are well above my goal of 1.5.
What drove my blogging this month? The biggest thing was an otherwise modest three-day weekend trip to the Pacific Northwest. From just over 72 hours of travel and hiking I wrote a whopping 28 blogs! I wrote 10 blogs about a weekend trip to help friends drive a new car home from 500+ miles away, culminating in a Five Things retrospective I posted just a few hours ago. There were also 8 blogs that got backlogged from a June trip. It's intriguing that these three trips together were only just over half my month's tally. That means no one trip, or issue (like CoRoNaViRuS), dominated my writing.
