the "only do work email through phone" idea feels quite clever to me --I'm much less inclined to do serious typing on my phone, and I'm not as able to do all the associated other things (open spreadsheets, create lesson plans, etc).

Of course, I don't have any way for my work email to notify me (I tend to be pretty strict about notifications in general --pretty much only Discord is allowed to tell me there are messages, and even then only a very small number of servers) without me taking active steps to check it, and I'm also one of those people for whom Inbox Zero is a laughable goal. I've had it before but not in a couple years, and there's no rush to get back.
