Hot Today, Gone Tomorrow

canyonwalkerIt was a hot one today. The high temperature was 91° 92°. That's the hottest day so far this year, and it's way warmer than the cooler-than-average weather we've been getting the last 6 weeks or so.
Sad to say, we didn't do a heck of a lot to enjoy the weather. I mean, we did drive around with the convertible top down as we ran a number of shopping errands this morning and early afternoon. 😂 That was nice. And this afternoon I trundled my desk chair out to the balcony to sit and sip a glass of chilled wine once the sun shifted to the other side of the house. I thought about unpacking the actual patio chairs for that but decided not to since we're about to leave for the better part of the two-plus weeks.
Yes, we're leaving again. We've been home nearly two weeks, and that feels like enough! Except these next two weeks are going to be hectic as I've got three trips that are back-to-back or nearly so.
On Sunday we leave for several days at the beach in the Cayman Islands. Several days at the beach! In the Cayman Islands! It'll be my first time out of the country in... *checks blog*... four years. When we return from that I turn around the following day and fly out to Las Vegas for a business conference for 3 days. After getting back from Vegas I'm home for less than 24 hours before we fly out for our Memorial Day trip. We're going to San Antonio to hang out at the Riverwalk for a few days and visit... umm... what's the name of that fort? Oh, I remember, the Alamo! 😅
