Good catch. And that's an eerily apropo typo. When commanding officer William Travis brusquely turned down Santa Anna's call for surrender, he had to know he was choosing death. Santa Anna's troops outnumbered his by greater than 10 to 1 and could weaken them through siege before crushing them.
