Traveling over the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holidays is one of those damned if you do, damned if you don't situations. On the one hand, travel over the holidays can feel frantic with so many other people traveling at the same time. Being stuck in crowds and long lines to go places is rarely fun. On the other hand, staying home can feel lonely when it seems like almost everyone you know locally is away.
