Hawk has been meaning to do this for a while. She doesn't read these old issues much anymore, and most of what she does read (or re-read) she's shifted to digital form. Digital is so much easier than being tied to a print collection that weighs literally three-quarters of a ton.

Two weekends ago she finally got together with a friend who helps broker large comics trades. He was able to find two dealer offers within a week. One was close enough to her target price that she was willing to accept. And the dealer was one that she knows from another large trade and was prepared to complete the transaction quickly. Sunday she got the offer, Monday the dealer came with his truck and a fat stack of cash.
