Taking it Easy this Weekend
Sep. 12th, 2021 08:22 pmThis weekend has been a take-it-easy, stay-around-home weekend. "But wait," you may ask, didn't I just write yesterday that we were up at Olympic National Park in Washington with one more day to go on our trip? That series of blogs are backlogged— backblogged, as I like to say, from last weekend. I will finish them. Soon, even. Just not today.
It's largely because last weekend was a busy, packed, travel weekend that we're taking it easy this weekend. With nice weather this weekend taking it easy has meant hanging out by the pool.

Saturday I only left the house to run a few grocery shopping errands. In between I spent at least an hour at the pool. Sunday I didn't even go as far as a grocery store; I went only as far as the swimming pool. ...After doing an hour of cleanup work inside the house.
Taking it easy like this lets us recharge in between travel weekends. Next weekend's likely to be another taking-it-easy weekend... not because we need more rest but just because that's how the schedule works out. The weekend of September 25-26 we're planning a small trip to celebrate our anniversary.
