The other issue is cost. A Pro costs $200 or $250 more than a comparably spec'ed Air. I decided that even if I could deem the size and weight difference irrelevant it's not worth $200 to go dongle-free when I want to upload from my camera's SD card.

I'm going to see if I can hold off replacing my Air until late next year. That's when Apple should launch a new Air model... and hopefully it will have real ports again!
