The Wrangler comes with at least a few different top options. One's a hard top— which I saw a lot of at the rental depot. I'm glad I didn't reserve a Wrangler thinking Wrangler = 4x4 + convertible. In the past I've rented Wranglers with both the canvas top and a fiberglass top with removable panel over the front seats. Both were fussy to open/close and prone to damage. And with the removable panel there was the added complication of where to stow it when removed.
