Slammed at Work

Whew. I was absolutely slammed at work this past week. ...Not that last week was any cake-walk. Nor has been really any week since about mid-August. But this past week I had basically two full weeks of work I wanted/needed to do, and only enough time to do half of it. 😰
No, working extra wasn't actually an option. For one, I was double-booked with meetings and projects pretty much all week. I missed lots of things I wanted/needed to do because I couldn't be in two places at once. Two, even when the nature of the work was such that I could choose work late and catch up on it, why would I? I'm not being paid extra for it. Plus I didn't have energy for it anyway. I finished each day so drained— partly from the constant triaging of deciding which meeting I could decline and arguing with a pushy sales manager who can't take "No" for an answer— that I just wanted to spend time on quiet leisure activities.
