Take-it-Easy Weekend, 5th in a Row

This past weekend was another take-it-easy weekend. ...Well, that's the positive spin on it. At too many moments "I"m taking it easy!" felt more like "I'm being a slug." 😞
What did I do this weekend? Be prepared for an underwhelming list. I... visited the hot tub both days. I dined out for lunch for days. I dined in for dinner (i..e, cooked dinner at home) both days. I did a bit of shopping for food and related stuff. I watched 10 hours of TV.
Watching that much TV in a weekend is unusual for me. I haven't had a TV watching habit like that since... childhood. It's not a habit now, either. I watched a glut of TV this weekend because there are two streaming series I'm catching up on, and especially on Saturday I was getting over (mild) side effects of a couple vaccine shots.
On Sunday I thought about getting out for an easy hike somewhere nearby. It was a noble plan; I just couldn't get myself to actually do it. To be fair, part of the reason is that this is not a great season for hiking. We're at the tail end of the dry season, so everything that grows is maximally brown and everything that flows (i.e., rivers, streams, creeks) is as low as it gets, if not totally dry.
Next weekend promises so far to be more of the same. If so it'll be my sixth weekend in a row of taking it easy... too easy. The following weekend we've got a trip planned! But I need to figure out something to fun to get out of the house with this coming weekend. Relaxing on the weekend is great; it sets me up for the next week of work. But past some point taking it easy is taking it too easy. More than just relaxation I also need reinvigoration.
