Back Home... but for How Long?

canyonwalkerHawk and I got home this evening from spending 5 days with her parents celebrating their 60th anniversary and her father's 85th birthday. Surprisingly both our flights were on time. We arrived home— as in walked through our front door— just after 9:30pm local time. Of course, that's 12:30am in the time zone where we started the day. And tomorrow I have to be up at 6am in this time zone to get ready for an early meeting. Yup, it's back to work tomorrow... and there's a conference in town Thursday I'm speaking at!
I wrote earlier today that we're only home for 10½ days before we head out again. That 10½ days may turn into just 2 days. An aunt of mine has passed away. Her funeral will be on Saturday. I'm checking options to see if I can fly out there to support my cousins (her sons who are about my age) at this emotional time.
