Pre-Conference Evening

This evening I ran the pre-conference gantlet. My company is hosting part of its annual user conference tomorrow. This part of it is nearby, just a few miles away, so at least I don't have to travel far. This evening was time to meet a few colleagues ahead of the show tomorrow, do a tech check with the IT squad for the presentation I'm delivering tomorrow afternoon, then join my sales team for dinner with a local customer. I just got home at 8:45pm... and that was after declining to meet colleagues back at the bar for another round or two of drinks.

Tomorrow will be an early morning. I've got my alarm set for 6am again, as the show starts at 7:30— well, breakfast and networking starts at 7:30—and I have to prep my attire in the monring. Yes, I could prep it tonight, but I'm kind of tired and out of fu... cares to give.

Tomorrow will likely be another long day, even though the conference is small this year. I'm looking forward to it but I'll also be glad when it's over. And I'm looking forward to what should hopefully be an easy day Friday to wind down the week.
