canyonwalkerI saw a note in my company's internal public channels today that we've just hired a person in HR whose title is Manager, Total Rewards. The announcement clarified that "Total Rewards" means employee compensation and benefits. Okay, why not call the department Compensation and Benefits, then? "Total Rewards" sounds like name for the players' club at a casino or the coupon club for shoppers at a grocery store. I say that because I've joined two or three "Total Rewards" clubs with casinos/airlines/hotels/car rental companies/supermarkets/etc. over the years.
Will I earn points in my company's Total Rewards program? Gold and Platinum status? What can I redeem my Total Rewards points for?
