One Drop Closer to Replacing my iPhone
Aug. 30th, 2021 02:17 pmThis weekend I dropped my iPhone on the concrete while I was relaxing by the pool. The screen developed a spiderweb crack in one corner. I've been holding off replacing this iPhone 7 I've owned for going on 5 years. This puts me one step drop closer to buying a new phone. 😅
Yes, I could repair the phone instead of replacing it. I'm quite familiar with the process as I've done it several times before. There's a shop nearby that's always done excellent work. But the question with any repair is, repair or replace? With Apple announce the new series of iPhones in, like, two weeks this really isn't the time to make decisions on older technology. My phone is still functional for now. I hope the crack won't widen too badly for a few more months until the new phones are available for sale and the now current-generation phones see a corresponding price decrease.
