Home-Home... for 16 Hours

Back home - Sun, 27 Nov 2022, 8pm
We arrived home from our Thanksgiving travels this evening just before 6:15pm. Our flight landed (early!) around 5:45, and we were home-home— as in, walking through our front door— at 6:10. Yay traveling light and fast to get home from the airport so quickly. Though even so it's almost 14 hours after leaving my inlaws' place this morning.
I napped for a few hours on the STL-SJC leg of the trip so I'm not as tired as I otherwise might be after waking up at 2am local. Plus, napping is a great solution to the boredom that flights often are.
Getting that nap makes it easier for me to do my "turn". I'll be leaving home on my next trip 16 hours after walking through the front door. Thus tonight I unpacked my suitcase and started a load of laundry while dinner was in the oven. I'm catching up on a few electronic chores tonight, and tomorrow morning I'll pack my bag while catching up on work email. Then it's back to the airport for the next round of Planes Trains and Automobiles!
