5 Weeks, 6 1/2 Trips
Apr. 19th, 2023 01:04 pmI remarked in a blog earlier today I've got 6½ trips planned in the next 5 weeks. That's a busy schedule! Here's what it looks like, a la Five Things:
After no travel in January, 1½ trips in February, no travel again in March, and only 1 trip so far in April, now I've got this glut of travel. When it rains it pours. By the time I get home from all this travel I'll have been away from home 24 out of the previous 29 days. For a lot of this travel being leisure, it sure feels like no rest for the wicked!
- Friday morning, less than 48 hours from now, Hawk and I are leaving on a 10-day trip to New Orleans, Mississippi, and Phoenix. I'm counting this as 2½ trips.... New Orleans is one, Phoenix is another, and Mississippi I'm counting as a half because we'll drive there for 1-2 days from New Orleans.
- Less than 24 hours after we get home on 4/30 we're headed out again on May 1. We'll be going to Seattle to testify as witnesses in that long-delayed trial stemming from a car crash we were struck in in October 2018. Yes, the wheels of justice turn slowly! We're scheduled to testify on the morning of May 2 and then fly home that afternoon.
- We're discussing squeezing in a weekend trip on May 5-6 to see this year's superbloom in Antelope Valley and the Carrizo Plain.
- On Sunday 5/14 we'll depart for several days in Grand Cayman for my President's Club trip. We'll return home on Saturday 5/20.
- Once again I'll do a less-than-24-hours-later turnaround, heading out on Sunday 5/21 for a business trip to Las Vegas. I'll be there to represent my company at a conference for a few days. I'll return after the show closes Wednesday evening 5/24.
