canyonwalker | Well, it's not Covid but...

...it's awful. I've had cold/flu like symptoms since Friday night. Just like the two-week-long cold I had... starting about 3 weeks ago... I'm having coughing fits that make it hard to breathe. I've been gobbling down a drawer full of OTC medicines but nothing seems to work. Again I've taken a rapid Covid test that came up negative. Late this afternoon I tried going to urgent care because of the difficulty breathing, but they'd just closed at 5pm. I weighed whether to go to the emergency room... I decided my symptoms aren't severe enough to warrant sitting in an uncomfortable waiting room for 3 hours full of people with worse contagious diseases than mine. 😣 I'll see how I feel tomorrow morning and try urgent care or a last-minute appointment with my doctor if it's still bad.

Update: I visited the doctor the next morning and found that it's "some kind of upper respiratory infection" (yes, that was the exact medical diagnosis 🙄) with elements of bronchitis. I got MOAR pills, prescription pills, which were just enough to blunt the worst of the symptoms. 😵‍💫
